My journey begins with the profound influence of my grandparents. Both of my grandmothers endured the burden of chronic pain — one from her childhood battle with polio, and the other from a traumatic partial leg amputation during her early years as a mother. Reflecting on their experiences through the lenses of both motherhood and medicine, I am struck by the lasting impact it had on them and their families.

While working as a primary care physician, I witnessed countless women grappling with the challenges of motherhood or facing obstacles in their journey to conceive. It became abundantly clear to me that we must do better in supporting women during this pivotal phase of their lives.

Becoming a mother of four children further deepened my understanding of these struggles. Motherhood has been an unparalleled journey of growth and discovery, pushing me to broaden my perspectives on health and wellness. I am immensely grateful for the insights it has afforded me.

How does Early Motherhood Wellness work?

Dr. Sembhi will partner with you to work towards getting to the root cause of your health concerns through a unique combination of lifestyle, nutrition, medication, supplements, bioenergetic, and manual therapy approaches. As healing can take time, you will be guided through an individualized program. She will support you in identifying and achieving your wellness goals.

All new patients start with a consultation. During the consultation you and Dr. Sembhi will review your health-related history, current concerns, and goals.

Together you and Dr. Sembhi will build an action plan that you can start to implement immediately and have the opportunity to join one of the following two programs, based on your individual needs.

Early Motherhood Wellness Foundations

Comprehensive set of labs to evaluate overall health and nutritional status.
Customized nutrition and supplement recommendations.
Access to the Foundations virtual course - an actionable lifestyle guide that will bring back energy, clarity, and joy to your life.
Messaging with Dr. Sembhi throughout the duration of your program (4-5 months).
Wellness device that provides healing frequencies specific to women's health needs through an easy to use PEMF device.
Appointment (in-person or virtual) after 1 month to follow up lab results and progress.
Appointment (in-person or virtual) after 3 months to review repeat labs and create a long-term plan.

OR

Early Motherhood Wellness Foundations Plus

All the services included in the Foundations program, plus:
Six in-person visits for Frequency Specific Microcurrent and/or pelvic manual therapy, tailored to your individual needs.
Customized protocols for the PEMF wellness device.
Medication prescribing (such as low dose naltrexone or hormone replacement).
Additional follow-up appointment after 3-6 months.
Messaging with Dr. Sembhi throughout the duration of your program (6-9 months).

Both of these programs are designed to jump-start your wellness journey by supporting recovery, building strength and resilience, and getting to the root cause of chronic health conditions.

Costs:

Initial consultation: $350

Early Motherhood Wellness Foundations: $1,900

Early Motherhood Wellness Foundations Plus: $3,600

After the initial consultation, patients may also choose to pay per visit instead of joining one of the programs. In this case, each follow-up visit is $250. This does not include access to the virtual lifestyle guide or the wellness PEMF device.

Dr. Sembhi is "out of network" and does not contract with insurance companies. HSA funds may be used and "superbills" will be provided for you to request reimbursement from your insurance company.

What kind of health concerns can Dr. Sembhi help with?

There are many health concerns that can arise before, during or after pregnancy.

Prior to pregnancy, preparing your body to carry and give birth to a child is one of the most important things you can do for your health and the health of your child.
During pregnancy, optimizing nutrition and lifestyle can lead to greater health for you and your child and prepare you for childbirth.
Postpartum, there are unique considerations regarding breastfeeding, caring for young children and healing from childbirth or pregnancy loss. Common issues are related to the pelvis, such as pain, urinary leakage, vaginal prolapse, pelvic floor and core muscle dysfunction, constipation or stool incontinence, breast issues such as mastitis, lactation concerns, autoimmune conditions, mood changes such as depression and anxiety, anemia, sleep difficulties, fatigue, difficulty with weight loss, thyroid disorders, hormone imbalances, preparation for future pregnancy, and many more. Whatever your concerns are after pregnancy, Dr. Sembhi will partner with you to heal, recover, and restore wellness.

Where is Dr. Sembhi located?

Dr. Sembhi is licensed as a physician in the state of Washington. Her office is located Seattle, WA.

She is double board certified in Internal Medicine and Integrative Medicine and specializes in holistic women's health during the childbearing years.

Can Dr. Sembhi be my primary care doctor?

No. Although Dr. Sembhi previously worked as a primary care doctor and she can address any primary care health concerns, there are some services she does not provide in her current practice. These include cancer screenings (PAPs), annual physicals for insurance purposes, vaccines, or disability, L&I, or FMLA paperwork. It is advisable to have a primary care provider to continue with long-term. She can coordinate care, if needed, with your primary care provider.

If you are pregnant, Dr. Sembhi can work with you and your Ob/Gyn or midwife to support your overall wellness during the pregnancy.
